Some exciting new info about the iPhone 16 series has just come out through a hands-on video. Here’s what we’ve learned:

    • Basic Models: The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will have:

    • New Photo Format: These models are expected to support a new photo format called JPEG-XL, in addition to existing formats like HEIF and ProRaw.
    • Video: Pro models might offer 3K video recording at 120 frames per second with Dolby Vision.

A new video from AppleInsider has given us a sneak peek at the camera features for the upcoming iPhone 16 series. According to the hands-on footage of the dummy models, here’s what we can expect:

  • iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus Cameras:
    • Dual Rear Camera Setup:
      • A 48-megapixel main camera with a bright f/1.6 aperture and up to 2x zoom
      • A secondary ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 0.5x zoom
    • Upgrade: The f/2.2 aperture on the new models will be an improvement over the f/2.4 aperture found on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
