iPhone 16 Pro Models Expected to Feature Bigger Batteries Than iPhone 15 Series

New reports suggest that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models will come with larger batteries compared to the iPhone 15 series. 

Although Apple typically does not disclose exact battery sizes, these changes could potentially lead to better battery life. However, it remains to be seen how these larger batteries will perform in everyday use.

Here’s what we’ve learned about the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro models:

Bigger Batteries

• iPhone 16 Pro:

  • The new iPhone 16 Pro is expected to have a battery that’s 9% larger than the iPhone 15 Pro, with a capacity of 3,577mAh.

• iPhone 16 Pro Max:

  • The iPhone 16 Pro Max might come with a 4,676mAh battery, which would be about 5% bigger than the battery in the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Apple usually doesn’t share exact battery sizes, but if these numbers are accurate, the new iPhone 16 Pro models could offer better battery life. We’ll have to see if this really translates into longer usage time.

Faster Charging

• Wired Charging:

  • The iPhone 16 Pro models might support faster wired charging, potentially up to 40 watts. Currently, iPhone 15 models charge at 20 watts, reaching 50% battery in about 30 minutes with the right adapter.

• MagSafe Charging:

  • MagSafe charging could also get a boost, going from 15 watts to 20 watts.
