T Musugesan Wins Silver Medal Badminton Paralympics 2024: India has won 2 medals within 10 minutes in Paris Paralympics 2024. On one hand, Tulsimati Murugeshan had to settle for a silver medal in badminton. She lost to Chinese athlete Yang Qixia 21-17, 21-10 in the final of the women’s singles SU5 category. On the other hand, Manisha Ramdas easily defeated Denmark’s Katherine 21-12, 21-8 in the same category.
Let us tell you that Murugeshan did not lose a single set from the first round to the semi-finals. She had dominated all her three opponents till now and reached the finals. But in the title clash, the Chinese athlete defeated her in straight sets 21-17, 21-10. On the other hand, Manisha continued her brilliant journey and won the bronze medal for India by registering a one-sided victory in the final.
3 medals in one day in badminton
India’s medal count has now reached 11. Just before Murugeshan and Manisha, Nitesh Kumar has won the gold medal for India in the men’s singles SL3 category of badminton. Today, on September 2, Nitesh Kumar won the gold medal by defeating Daniel Bathery of Great Britain 21-14, 18-21, 23-21 in the final of the men’s singles SL3 category. This was India’s second gold medal in Paris Paralympics 2024.

India has won three medals so far on the fifth day of Paris Paralympics. Nitesh Kumar, Tulsimati Ramdas and Manisha Ramdas, all three have won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in badminton.
