Anant Ambani Donates Stunning 20-Kg Gold Crown to Lalbaugcha Raja for Ganesh Chaturthi 2024

In a grand gesture of devotion and philanthropy, Anant Ambani and the Reliance Foundation have gifted a magnificent 20-kilogram gold crown to Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in 2024. The resplendent crown, unveiled on September 5, adds a royal touch to the revered Ganesh idol as the city gears up for its annual festivities.

This eye-catching crown, which took over two months to craft, marks a new chapter in the longstanding relationship between Anant Ambani and the Lalbaugcha Raja. Known for its grandeur, the Lalbaugcha Raja idol is now adorned with this stunning piece, showcasing the deep reverence and commitment of Ambani to the iconic Ganesh celebration.

Anant Ambani’s association with Lalbaugcha Raja extends beyond this generous donation. Over the past 15 years, he has been a prominent supporter of the Ganeshotsav, contributing significantly to the community. Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ambani donated 24 dialysis machines to aid the Lalbaugcha Committee. His involvement also includes attending the Ganeshotsav and immersion ceremonies at Girgaon Chowpatty Beach.

In recognition of his contributions, Ambani has been awarded honorary membership to the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanil Ganesh Utsav Mandal and appointed as an executive advisor of the Lalbaugcha Raja Committee. These honors reflect the strong and enduring bond between the Ambani family and the Lalbaugcha Raja.

The Lalbaugcha Raja, a cornerstone of Mumbai’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations since 1934, will be celebrated from Saturday, September 7, 2024, to Tuesday, September 17, 2024. The Kambli family, who have cared for the idol for over 80 years, continue to ensure a magnificent celebration each year.

  • Morning Pooja: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
  • Afternoon Pooja: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

  • Morning Aarti: 7:00 AM – 7:15 AM
  • Afternoon Aarti: 1:00 PM – 1:15 PM
  • Evening Aarti: 7:00 PM – 7:15 PM
