From Batting to Captaincy: Shan Masood Flops in Fielding and Faces Backlash for Dropped Catch

Pakistan vs Bangladesh: The second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh is currently underway in Rawalpindi. In the first innings, Bangladesh posted a total of 262 runs before being bowled out. Pakistan, in response, managed to score 274 runs. However, in their second innings, Pakistan is struggling, having scored just 9 runs for the loss of 2 wickets so far.

The first Test ended in a defeat for Pakistan, and now the team is facing further challenges. Captain Shan Masood, who has been under the spotlight, is receiving criticism for his recent performances. Not only did Masood struggle with the bat, but he also made a crucial fielding error by dropping a catch.

During Bangladesh’s second innings, Hasan Mohammad and Litton Das were at the crease. In the 75th over bowled by Khurram Shehzad, Hasan attempted a shot that was caught by Masood, but he missed it, leading to significant backlash from Pakistani fans.

Pakistan’s poor performance in the first Test and their current struggles in the second Test are putting them under pressure. Shan Masood did contribute with a half-century in the first innings of the second Test, scoring 57 runs, but his performance in the first Test was lackluster with scores of 6 and 14 in the two innings.
