Mumbai News: Amit Shah and Sharad Pawar Visit Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Pandal

On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and NCP leader Sharad Pawar visited the famous Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Pandal in Mumbai to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. They took part in the festivities and paid their respects to Lord Ganesh.

Shah was joined by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and BJP leader Vinod Tawde during the visit. Later, Shah also went to another Ganesh pandal in Bandra West, which is linked to BJP Mumbai president Ashish Shelar.

Earlier in the day, Shah visited the homes of Chief Minister Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis to see their Ganesh idols.

This was Shah’s second day in Mumbai. The previous night, he had meetings with Chief Minister Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar.

Sharad Pawar, along with his family members, also visited the Lalbaugcha Raja pandal. He posted on ‘X’ that the Ganesh festival in Mumbai was very lively and expressed his hope for the strength to keep working for farmers and ordinary people.

On the other hand, BJP’s Praveen Darekar criticized Pawar’s visit, calling it a “show.” Darekar claimed that Pawar’s visit seemed politically motivated and pointed out that Pawar had previously attended events where Hindu deities were disrespected without speaking out.

This visit happens as Maharashtra gears up for its upcoming assembly elections in a few months.
