Tired of Spam Calls? Turn on This Feature to Block Them Now!

Spam calls can be a real hassle, especially when they interrupt your important tasks. You might receive these annoying calls multiple times a day, offering loans or special deals. If you want to stop spam calls without having to keep your phone on Do Not Disturb (DND) mode, follow these simple steps to adjust your Android phone settings:

Steps to Block Spam Calls

  1. Open the Phone App
    • Start by opening the Phone app on your Android device, the one you use to make and receive calls.
  2. Access Settings
    • Look for the three vertical dots or a menu icon in the top right corner of the screen and tap on it. This will open a dropdown menu.
  3. Go to Settings
    • From the dropdown menu, select “Settings” to open the phone settings.
  4. Find Caller ID & Spam Settings
    • Scroll through the settings until you see “Caller ID & Spam.” Tap on this option to open the spam protection settings.
  5. Enable Spam Identification and Filtering
    • You will see two options here. First, turn on the setting for identifying spam numbers. This will help your phone recognize potential spam calls.
    • Next, enable the spam call filter option. This will automatically block calls identified as spam.

Important Notes

  • Automatic Blocking: Once you enable these settings, most spam calls will be automatically blocked.
  • Not Perfect: Note that this feature might not block all spam calls, especially if the numbers are not yet recognized as spam. Additionally, it could block some important calls that might be mistakenly identified as spam.
  • Existing Spam Numbers: The feature will not block numbers that have not been previously marked as spam by the system.

By setting this up, you can significantly reduce the number of spam calls you receive and enjoy a more peaceful phone experience.
