Day 5 at Paris Paralympics: India Eyes 10 More Medals with Key Events on the Horizon
As the Paris Paralympics progresses, India has already secured 7 medals. On the fifth day of the games, there is a strong expectation for India to add 10 more medals to its tally. Currently, India stands 27th in the medal rankings, with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals to its credit. Today, all eyes will be on javelin thrower Sumit Antil, who will compete to defend his gold medal.
In addition to Sumit Antil, several other athletes are also in contention for gold medals. Expectations are high for Nitesh Kumar in badminton and Yogesh Kathuniya in discus throw F56. Other athletes will also be competing for bronze medals. For context, India won 19 medals at the Tokyo Paralympics.
